# Connect Hyperliquid

> Approve a safe trading key or connect an existing API wallet.

Hyperliquid keeps funds in a master account and lets a separate API wallet sign
trades. The API wallet can trade but cannot withdraw. It can be revoked from
Hyperliquid.

## Use your Tickside wallet

This is the recommended path for a new Hyperliquid account.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Deposit first">
    Open **Funds**, choose Polymarket as the source and Hyperliquid as the
    destination. A new Hyperliquid account is created by its first deposit.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Hyperliquid in Account">

    that holds the Hyperliquid funds.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose local protection">

    passphrase with at least eight characters.
  </Step>

  Tickside refuses a master wallet private key. The master key can withdraw funds
  and must never be pasted into Tickside. Only an approved API wallet private key
  belongs in the advanced connection form.
</Warning>

## Lock, remove and revoke

**Lock session** removes the decrypted trading key from browser memory.
**Remove account** removes its encrypted local copy. Neither action cancels
orders or revokes the API wallet at Hyperliquid. Use the Hyperliquid API page to
revoke it.
